The Tyler Azzurri Football Club is a non-profit soccer organization established to provide a fun, safe, and positive environment open to all players with an interest in improving their soccer skills. The Azzurri FC is a competitive youth soccer program with lofty goals of winning championships and developing players capable of receiving college scholarships based on their ability and academic achievement. However the realization of these goals are to be accomplished within the proper framework with an emphasis placed on our savior Jesus Christ and what He would do in certain situations.  The mission of the club is to promote the development of physical, social and mental skills associated with soccer; encourage Christ-like behaviour, sportsmanship, teamwork and respect for rules all in an environment that is open to all children regardless of race, gender or ethnic background.

*The Club recognizes how expensive Select Soccer can be. As a non-profit organization, one of our goals is to be inclusive and to do so we strive to keep our cost and fee structure low. The Azzurri FC does this through many avenues such as sponsorships, fundraisers, donations and volunteers. The Club allows each team latitude in making decisions that will best fit the needs of their individual team as long as the decisions are within the bylaws established by the Club. The dues for our Club teams can run as low as $ 40 a month yet each team can vary based on factors such as the amount of travel, league fees, coach compensation, training and the number of tournaments the team participates in. Never hesitate to request disclosure from your team manager as to what your dues include.

A NOTE FROM OUR DIRECTOR OF COACHING:

Wow! What a year Azzurri has had! We have seen numerous teams win championships, our academy has grown from 50 players to well over 100 players actively participating each Monday night. We launched the Jacksonville academy, we had a USA national team member visit us for a great night of fun and encouragement, we completed our first year of club soccer with all teams having had very successful seasons with two teams qualifying for the Classic league in their first year, we are currently hosting a D clinic through North Texas that has 32 coaches in attendance, we had a very successful indoor soccer tournament...and on and on and on...it has been a great adventure of faith! And all of that has been wrapped in a blanket of prayer, faith based teaching and Godly role models and examples all in a club that will always be about much more than soccer!

Azzurri is a Calling, not a job to me! It has been an honor and a privilege to serve the Lord by serving you this year! I know I have not done everything perfect, but I am striving to serve as Jesus did...SELF-LESS-LY. I know I will fall short on many occasions but I will always strive to DO WHAT IS RIGHT.

Although the Spring season is not over yet, I am looking forward to starting the new soccer year and doing even more with Azzurri this year! God is on the move with Azzurri.

As a club we are looking to field 30 club teams along with two academy teams per age group per gender (16 total) in the future.

The GREAT and LOFTY goal that I would one day want to see for Azzurri is to have each team in the club and academy take a mission trip once per year to do salvation soccer camps for the less fortunate kids around the world, so that they could have the opportunity to receive Christ as their Lord and Savior. And so that the Azzurri families could have the honor and privilege to serve the Lord Jesus, as a family, in a fun-filled, family oriented way!

In HIS service to you,

Corey
