Cory Hooper - National C License

Director Of Coaching

Cory, Director Of Coaches, has a USSF National "C" Coaching License and played professional soccer for the Texas Lightening and the Dallas Sidekicks. Cory served as the Director of Coaching for the Texas Stars Soccer Club in Dallas from 2000-2003 and brings a wealth of soccer experience with him. Cory coached the U11, U13, U15 & U19 Texas Lightening Club teams in the Dallas Classic League from 1993-1996. As a member of the North Texas State Soccer Association State Staff from 1992-1995 Cory coached the ODP (Olympic Development Program) soccer teams in Texas.


Mark Schubert - USSF National A License

Mark has a USSF National A license, he received Brazilian and Argentinean coaching diplomas, won two national championships as a College soccer coach and served on the Texas and California State Associations instructor staff. Coach Schubert has seen over 10,000 players attend his soccer camps, and given over 100 coaching clinics for coaches all over East Texas and Southern California. As an Olympic Development coach he trained many players who represented the United States on our National team. He is the founder of the East Texas Men's Soccer League and coached the first Club soccer team in Tyler.


Adam Girdlestone - UEFA B License

Adam holds a UEFA "B" license having coached and played soccer for various organizations in Europe. Adam worked at Manchester United's first team academy complex from 2005-2007. He worked as a professional coach for the Bury FC, traveled the UK conducting residential's for the Bobby Charlton International Soccer School for 3 years, coached at Kellogg's coach promotion, and was a fixture at Manchester United, Arsenal, Everton and Chelsea. Along with his coaching experience, Adam has played for Stockport County FC, Rochdale FC, Trafford, Leigh RMI FC and played in the Nationwide Conference (England) by the age of 18.


James Crouse - USSF National D License

Coach & Trainer

Holds a USSF National "D" Coaching License and a NSCAA State & Regional Goalkeeper Diploma. James played college soccer for Judson College in Elgin, IL winning the NCCAA National Championship in 2002. His team set a Judson College record with 14 shutouts allowing only 0.97 goals against for the season. James comes to us with 15 years of competitive soccer coaching experience in Wisconsin, Illinois and Texas. He has coached in the Lake Highlands Classic League, one of the most prestigious leagues in the country. James has also coached collegiate soccer for East Texas Baptist University and the University of Texas.


Mitch Smith - USSF National D License

Currently the girls Head Soccer Coach at Grace High School in Tyler, Texas. Mitch currently holds a USSF "D" License and has coached soccer at various levels winning multiple tournaments and championships across the State. Mitch's love for the game and the players are reflected in his pure passion for the sport. Mitch is a strong believer in team work, personal accountability and giving 110% in all you do.


Tom Alden

Tom is currently a High School coach at Grace Community High School in Tyler, Texas. Tom has coached soccer at various levels since 1994. He played club soccer for Tyler United ’72 team that won the Klein Invitational in Houston, Texas and was ranked 3rd in the state. He is great teacher of the game and will challenge every player to reach their full potential.


Bryan Brady

Bryan brings to the Azzurri a wealth of soccer experience. He started his soccer career playing club for the Rowdies a team that would rank as high as 2nd in the State of Texas. He was an ODP Eastern District Representative at U 12 & U 14. His High School Team finished as Co-District Champions and he was selected All-District as a High School Senior. He played for Tyler Junior College from 1990 - 1992. He was chosen as the Team Captain on the first TJC squad to qualify for the JUCCO National Tournament. While at TJC the team won two District Championships and one Regional Championship. He went on to play soccer at Lee University in Tennessee from 1992-1994. Once again he was selected as Team Captain. During his tenure at Lee University, the team qualified for the NCCAA National tournament twice and ranked as high as 4th in the Nation. Bryan was selected as a member of the National All-Tournament Team and Honorable Mention All-American. He has coached youth soccer teams at both the recreational and club levels. Bryan has conducted various soccer camps around the State of Texas. He is a Licensed Referee and has served on several soccer boards and associations.

Coaching Experience: Compiled a 225-51-9 record in twelve seasons at Meridian Community College and Tyler Junior College (81-15-5 in four years).
Awards: Four National Tournament appearances; National Championship in 2000; National Coach of the Year in 2000; ten Regional and four District Championships; Region 23 Coach of the Year in 1996, 1998, 2000, 2001, and 2003; District Coach of the Year in 1997, 1999, 2000, and 2001; has coached 17 All-Americans, 29 All-District players, and 11 players who have gone on to play professional soccer; serves as the president of the National Junior College Soccer Coaches Association and is a member of the NJCAA Ranking and All-American Committees. Has coached two players who are now in the NJCAA Hall of Fame.
