Below is an attachment of Coerver Skills that was requested by a few. As you should know, make sure you are teaching skills that are AGE APPROPRIATE within your age group. After the initial introduction, demonstration, and practice of a skill, INCORPORATE them into games... Please for Pete's sake, DON'T DO Line Drills. The only thing I can say after all these years is that when I see a coach lining kids up and pushing them through cones, I laugh. It teaches nothing and makes practice boring. If you don't know many games that teach "skills" let me know. I have thousands of them. Coervers are the backbone to the success of skilled players. Coervers are why the Europeans are so much better than we are.
We plan on having a clinic in the near future for the parents on how to teach these skills to the little girls and guys.
